2. Description of Service

Sonshine Christian Code Academy is a Christian programming education platform that provides:

• Video courses and lessons
• Interactive coding quests and challenges
• Quest Coin rewards system
• Community features and leaderboards
• Terminal-based learning environments

3. Account Registration

3.1 Eligibility

You may use the Service if you are at least 13 years old, or with parental consent if younger. Users under 18 should have parental permission before creating an account.

3.2 Account Security

You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your password
• All activities that occur under your account
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access

3.3 Accurate Information

You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update such information to keep it accurate.

4. Acceptable Use

4.1 You Agree To:

• Use the Service for lawful educational purposes
• Treat other users with respect and kindness
• Submit only your own work for quests and challenges
• Report bugs or security issues responsibly

4.2 You Agree NOT To:

• Share your account credentials with others
• Attempt to hack, exploit, or disrupt the Service
• Submit malicious code or harmful content
• Harass, bully, or intimidate other users
• Use the Service for commercial purposes without permission
• Scrape or collect user data without authorization
• Circumvent any security measures

5. Quest Coins

Quest Coins are a virtual reward system within the Service:

• Quest Coins have no monetary value outside the platform
• Quest Coins cannot be exchanged for real currency
• We reserve the right to adjust Quest Coin balances to correct errors or abuse
• Quest Coins may be used for unlocking content or features as we develop them

6. Intellectual Property

6.1 Our Content

All course materials, quests, videos, and platform code are owned by Sonshine Christian Code Academy or our licensors. You may not copy, distribute, or create derivative works without permission.

6.2 Your Content

You retain ownership of code you write for quests. By submitting solutions, you grant us a license to use them for:

• Providing the Service (running tests, storing solutions)
• Improving our educational content
• Displaying on leaderboards (anonymized if preferred)

7. Paid Subscriptions

7.1 Billing

If you purchase a subscription:

• Payment is processed through Stripe
• Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled
• Prices may change with 30 days notice

7.2 Refunds

We offer refunds within 14 days of purchase if you haven't completed more than 20% of any course. Contact us for refund requests.

7.3 Scholarships

We offer scholarships for those who cannot afford our services. Scholarship recipients agree to complete courses in good faith and may have their scholarship revoked for inactivity or misuse.

8. Termination

8.1 By You

You may delete your account at any time through your account settings or by contacting us.

8.2 By Us

We may suspend or terminate your account if you:

• Violate these Terms of Service
• Engage in fraudulent activity
• Abuse the platform or other users

9. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. We do not guarantee:

• Uninterrupted access to the Service
• That all content is error-free
• Employment or career outcomes

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sonshine Christian Code Academy shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of the Service.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Sonshine Christian Code Academy from any claims, losses, or damages arising from your use of the Service or violation of these terms.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance. We will notify you of significant changes via email.
